“The open space she creates for sharing and learning has helped my team reshape how they react to stress and compassion fatigue, and has been hugely helpful in their continuing success in their roles.”
Invisible Injury Trauma Informed Training Participant,
Woodland Hills School District
“Thank you for your sessions for Woodland Hills so far. I know many of my colleagues agree and feel grateful that you have acknowledged our situations. We truly felt like you are speaking to us.”
AJ Jefferson,
CEO I Homeless Children’s Education Fund
“Our team hand-selected Sharise Nance to serve as the facilitator for our first HCEF staff retreat because she brings both lived experience and deep clinical expertise. Our staff had been leveraging the Vitamin C curriculum for months prior, and Sharise did not disappoint. Given the trauma exposure inherent in our work in the homeless and social service field, we needed a facilitator who could provide thoughtful, practical strategies to address trauma transference and compassion fatigue. Sharise’s expertise and calming presence gave our team the space to explore the physical and psychological impact of compassion fatigue and how to work through it. She helped make our first staff retreat a transformational experience.”
Candice Chatterpaul,
Spring Health Culture & Communication Program Specialist
“Many of us bear a heavy load due to the nature of our jobs and the feedback I heard from a lot of teammates was that this was a really helpful session.”
Paula Colletti, SHRM-CP Manager, Human Resources, CNX
“Sharise facilitated a mental health lunch and learn for our employees, and she exceeded expectations. She was knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about her work. Our employees still reference the session and continue using the tools she shared. I can’t recommend Sharise highly enough.”
Mark, Propel Schools
“When you have a presenter that actually knows, lives, practices and personalizes the content rather than parroting information that can be found in a web search it makes an extreme difference in keeping one’s attention and impacting the audience. Sharise is the real deal!”

A Note from Sharise

I didn’t start this work from a stage. I started it in rooms where people were exhausted, overextended, and still expected to perform.

I’ve lived compassion fatigue. I’ve watched high-capacity leaders slowly narrow under pressure. And I’ve seen what happens when stress transfers instead of being contained.

That’s why my work evolved.

What began as helping professionals understand compassion fatigue has grown into helping leaders prevent burnout without burning out their people.

Burnout isn’t just personal. It’s relational. It’s contagious.

If leaders don’t contain stress, it moves through culture.

My work is about building environments where high performance doesn’t require depletion; where leaders stay steady and organizations don’t erode from the inside out.

This isn’t about inspiration. It’s about sustainability.
