On behalf of the SWAG committee, we would like to thank the sponsors, vendors, donors, speakers, and volunteers for supporting our vision to recognize the "heart work" of 21 local social workers that is oftentimes unappreciated and unrecognized.

We were all looking forward to an in-person event with over 200 guests to celebrate social work, especially during these challenging times.  Your patience, flexibility, support, and compassion through the many challenges and obstacles we faced in the past year helped to make the 2020 Virtual SWAG awards ceremony a success.

Congratulations to the 2020 SWAG awardees!  Thank you for upholding the integrity of the profession through your advocacy, compassion, competence, and commitment.  Because of your contributions, someone chose to live, communities are stronger, stigmas are being lifted, and systems are more accountable.

Social workers are essential. We always have been.

“It was my first attendance to The SWAG awards this year and it was inspiring to hear from the speakers and award winners.  It’s sometimes tough to get a sense of community online, but the virtual event was very welcoming.”

~Mary Hagan

"The SWAG awards was a much needed event. The virtual platform used was a great space and user friendly. I really enjoyed the content mix of live speaking and pre recorded video content. There were excellent vendors as well. Can’t wait for next year."
